Director of Finance -Manhattan, New York  $170K

Reports to: Executive Director  

Nonprofit that serves more than 2,000 people annually and has a budget of over $21 million. The Director of Finance (DoF) is responsible for all financial matters of AFC and its affiliate organizations. The DoF will report to and work closely with the executive director. In addition, they will partner with the senior leadership and the board of directors to develop and implement strategies across the organization. The DoF will oversee all compliance and recognition for government (federal and state) contracts and private grants. The DoF be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace while managing a finance staff of four. 


Finance & Administration Manager - Manhattan, New York - $140K

Reports to: CEO 

Oversee financial accounting, reporting, payments, and tracking processes for grant programs, venture investments, fundraising, and administrative operations
 

• Analyze and present financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements, in a clear, accurate, and timely manner

• Manage organizational cash flow, and forecasting

• Lead the annual tax and audit process, working with tax preparers, accountants, and external auditors

• Oversee annual budgeting and planning, monitoring progress and changes

• Update and implement all necessary operating policies and accounting practices

• Work with CEO and external legal and accounting support to ensure nonprofit compliance
